• Lung cancer is the #1 cancer killer of both men and women. It kills more than all other major cancers combined. It kills nearly twice as many women as breast cancer and three times as many men as prostate cancer. (See reference)
• Approximately two-thirds of new lung cancer diagnoses are in nonsmokers. Half are former smokers, most of whom quit smoking more than 10 years ago. And 15 percent never smoked. (See reference)
• Radon is the #1 cause of lung cancer in never smokers and the #2 cause of lung cancer is smokers and former smokers. (See reference)
